Summary of parent meeting

Dear Parents,

Since only 1/3 of our parents attend the meeting last week, I feel like I’ll send this letter to communicate with you about what happen in the school.

• Gift certificate $600/yr for a family or $30/yr donation if you want to save the trouble
• United Way – You can make you donation to DCLS through the United Way by designating your donation to DCLS by name/or by our code number. Under “other agent, charity, foundation” in the pledge card, designate 100% (or any other percentage) to the Dayton Chinese Language school or our code number (0171)
• Please return the survey form as soon as possible so we can start to plan our scheduled program. Ex. Kung-Fu …
• Please encourage your child to participate the Essay and Media contest to promote the awareness the danger of tobacco
• We need volunteer to sign up for after class cleanup for public area used by the school.
• Parents are welcome to sit in classroom to help. We feel that is the most effective way for our kids to learn.

I hope you continue to provide suggestion to school and hopefully you can attend our next meeting to give us suggestion. As you know we are parents like you and only through your participation, our school can continue to provide quality program to our students.
