The Dayton Chinese Language School was established in 1977 for the purpose of providing Chinese language education and cultural enrichment programs to children (K-12) and residents in the greater Dayton area. Students attend class every Sunday afternoon from 1:30-5:00 pm. The program consists of a language class and cultural activities. Cultural activity options are kung-fu (provided by Meng's Martial Arts, see fee and schedule here), traditional folk dance, calligraphy, Chinese chess, Chinese yo-yo, origami, folk songs, folk tales and knotting.

Classes are conducted in Chinese (C5) and Bilingual (B1-2, B3, B4-5) formats. Numbers indicate academic levels (Level 1 is the lowest level). We will also continue with our Adult Conversational class. This year's teachers are:

Chinese Bilingual Adult Conversational
C5 Hsui Ting Hsu B1-2 Jennifer Lin Amy Sterling
B3 Mei-Hwa Chan
B4-5 Maan Broadstock

The school meets in the basement of the Dayton Chinese Christian Church at 600 Patterson Rd. Click here for map and directions.

The school year is divided into two semesters, each 15 weeks long. All students age 5 and up are welcome to enroll. The fee for each semester is $120 per student.

The school admits students of any race to all of its programs and activities. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and any other school-administered programs.
